When stars die, the particles are expelled back out into space, and through fusion new stars are formed. Coon positions that the body’s internal and external relationship to the universe extends beyond the observable and experiential. Phases of the Imminent visualizes this concept through mirroring particle re-accumulation through interpreting the concept of reversing velocities, which states if the current physical laws were slightly altered that it would be possible for objects shattered to reassemble to the form preceding the event of rupture–a turning back of time. Phases of the Imminent articulates that nothing in the end is ever truly lost, rather the forms change, energies shift, and what came before informs what is yet to come. – Chelsea Coon
